Pattern making
The pattern of Dongguan CNC processing plant is a physical model of casting used to make the mold: the mold is obtained by compacting some deformable polymer materials, such as molding sand, around the pattern. When the pattern is taken out, its contour provides the cavity for the final pouring of liquid metal into the casting. If the casting is hollow, such as in the case of tube assembly, other shapes like cores will be used to form these cavities. As defined above, a pattern is a copy of the real object produced by casting after some changes. The main changes are as follows:
(a) Increase the margin of the pattern;
(b) Provide core head;
(c) Reduce the details, can not be obtained by casting part, to be completed by further process.
Core brace
Dongguan CNC processing plant should take measures to support the core in the cavity for all castings requiring core. One of the commonly used methods is to use the core brace where possible. An example of the use of the core brace is shown in Figure 5.22. The size of the core brace provided will be estimated on the basis of accurate castings.
