Dongguan CNC processing plant: according to the spatial position of spindle processing, there are horizontal and vertical machining centers.
Horizontal machining center refers to the machining center with horizontal spindle axis. The horizontal machining center generally has 3-5 motion coordinate axes, the common ones are three linear motion coordinate axes and one rotary motion coordinate axis (rotary table). It can complete the processing of the other four surfaces except the mounting surface and top surface in one clamping of the workpiece, which is most suitable for processing the box type workpiece. Compared with force machining center, it has complex structure, large floor area, high quality and high price.
Vertical machining center, vertical machining center spindle axis for vertical settings, its structure is mostly fixed column type, table for cross sliding table, suitable for processing disc parts, generally has three linear motion axis, and can be placed on the table a horizontal axis of CNC rotary table (4th axis) to process spiral parts. The vertical machining center has the advantages of simple structure, small floor area and low price. With various accessories, it can process most of the workpieces.
Large gantry machining center, the spindle is mostly vertical setting, especially used in large or complex shape workpiece, such as aviation, aerospace industry and some parts of large steam turbine processing need to use this kind of multi coordinate gantry machining center.
This kind of machining center has the function of vertical and horizontal machining center. After the workpiece is clamped once, it can complete the machining of all five surfaces except the mounting surface. This machining method can minimize the shape error of the workpiece and save the secondary clamping work, so as to improve the production efficiency and reduce the processing cost.
